Debra Small joined Buffalo Lodging in 2016 with nearly 20 years of experience heading up human resources for hospitality organizations. She spent 8 years with Hilton overseeing human resources for the Hilton Boston Back Bay and also the Hilton Boston Logan Airport where she was instrumental in implementing training and employee feedback programs. After that she worked for Starwood directing the human resources efforts at the Sheraton Boston where she was instrumental in improving employee satisfaction year over year. She introduced several programs to bring turnover down, and helped with employee retention. She was also an advisory committee member with Local 26 Best Corp Training, as well as an advocate and committee member for Big Sister Association. Debra is a graduate of Pine Manor College with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
